98/12/02 A sea run brown trout.
After my first catch, Brent and I went to the upper stretch of the stream and came back. Nori was walking beside the stream when I met him.
"I've already caught a brown trout."
"Have you? Oh! It's great!!"
I cast my fly onto a whirlpool, but, unexpectedly, I've lost the sight of it. I wondered and set the hook without confidence. Then a pretty tug happened on my rod. After a short time fighting, a silver white body of fish has surfaced. The body had many splendid spots, so it looked like a Japanese "Amago" trout. Actually the fish was a sea run brown trout.
Nori checked up on the stomach of the trout. We found some insects and an orange coloured shrimp. Brent said that the trout came from the Tasman Sea.
I asked Brent to show his fly box for us. His flies were something different with our flies. But we could not understand what was it.
